“…that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands.”
~ I Thessalonians 4:11

What is our attitude toward quiet days? Are we fussing and fretting or are we thankful? Can we contentedly work with our hands? Or must we be frenetically filling every available space in our day with something…anything? Can we be happy to be quietly productive?

“Father in heaven, thank You for the blessing of quiet days. Common days. And You? You are at work here in the mundane routine of the day. Oh, help my heart rejoice in Your goodness all around me. Hour by hour having confidence in Your good intentions toward me, toward my family. Bless me with a heart full of confident faith. That I might petition You for myself and those around me. To pray in faith.”
