“Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.” ~ Psalm 126:5-6

Tears are a reality in our lives. And our travels with God will always be accompanied by sorrow and suffering in this fallen world (see John 16:33). But the tears will be wiped away (see Rev. 21:4).

“I am distressed about my daughter’s distress. Lord Jesus, how do we answer her? She has obviously seen, heard and experienced things that we have not. How do we advocate for her with those who have hurt her? How and what do we say to her in her reactive state? Oh, Lord, we ask for Your wisdom. Your light on the situation. Your healing, Lord. Grant courage and faith and love…much love, to go forward…and yet, Lord, deliverance is not found in our perfect knowledge and handling of this situation…we need Your redemption…we need You to turn around…to practically turn around the workings of sin and Satan and all our personal selfishnesses. Oh, Lord Jesus, grant us, each of us, a heart to love You and to obey and honor You. I am fatigued and I cannot think clearly. I don’t have an answer for this situation…not even a first step. Lord Jesus, I lift it all up to You…please take the burden, please work it out to Your glory and our good. Thank You.”
