“…and He calls His own sheep by name and leads them out. And when He brings out His own sheep, He goes before them; and the sheep follow Him, for they know His voice.” ~John 10:3-4

This is very comforting. The Shepherd knows each one of His own sheep. As for the sheep: first there is recognition of the Shepherd’s voice, then in each individual sheep there is a recognition of their own name being called. The call is a personal call. The Shepherd is actively leading them. And wherever the Shepherd is going, His sheep are following.

“Lord Jesus, You are my Shepherd; I am Your own sheep.
Call me, lead me, go before me.
I love You, I want to be with You, I want to serve You. Amen.”
