It’s not unspiritual
to wait,
In peace and hope
stand still
No anxious thoughts
No plans to form
No fretting that
works ill.

A heart that has
the time to wait,
The leisure
to be still.
Unhurried and
unhurrying
A Cheerful wait
…until.

Cheerful quietness,
content.
No edginess
no strain.
Awaiting God’s
directing voice.
Til He shall
make it plain.

Looking to Christ
for Him to do,
not something,
but do all.
His everything
to now await.
One hope, to hear
His Call.
