Talking to a wall
Talking to a person
Who isn’t there at all.

Talking to an enemy
Talking to a friend
Talking to a foreigner
Who cannot comprehend.

Talking to a porcupine
Talking to a bear
Talking from a distance
’cause they do not want you near.

Talking to a restless wave
Talking to a tree
Talking to a person
Who’s a lot like me.
