Psalm 1 ~ BLESSED
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly…” v1.

I began a project over the summer; I call it “The Psalms Project”.  The Psalms have been called “the prayer book of the Bible”; this project has been my attempt to capture a teaching from each psalm by assigning a terse but meaningful title to each psalm and coupling it with a short portion from the text of the psalm itself. The titles do not necessarily reflect the complete content or major mood of the psalm, but only what resonated with me at the time of my reading.

The Psalms are a rich book; they reflect the many dispositions and circumstances of life and prayer. My little project is not comprehensive or scholarly; it is like a quickly executed sketch, recording abbreviated glimpses of a vast landscape. I hope to add a consecutive post to “The Psalms Project” each Friday.
