TODAY THE BLOG FEATURES A GUEST BLOGGER – my daughter.
(She wrote this story yesterday and shared it with us at the dinner table. I liked it; I thought she did a great job telling the story. MG is the author of today’s post.)

About a month ago while our family was on vacation, we went to San Diego. The first evening we were there we decided to go to a favorite restaurant called The Fish Market. All of us enjoyed the nice drive down to the harbor. We enjoyed our dinner, including two orders of sweet potato fries – our favorite!

After dinner my sister PX and I both requested to go outside onto the enclosed patio of the restaurant; the patio was right over the water. The answer was “Yes” so we enthusiastically went through the door and outside! Once outside we curiously looked over the railing at the blue depths of the water beneath us.

My curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to lightly tap the lower part of the railing with my foot, to see if there was glass there or if I could reach out and touch the water. At the same time my sister was thinking: “Wouldn’t it be scary if something jumped out of the water – like a shark?” As we were both pondering these ideas in our heads, my foot hit the glass, (I guess there was glass there.) and my sister jumped – like two feet! She thought something was actually jumping out of the water! After that we had a good laugh.
