I love letters. I love writing. I love the mechanics of writing: of forming the letters, of sketching the shapes, of experimenting with form and balance and composition upon the paper.

I also love the craft of writing: developing a thought, playing with words, communicating ideas, recording a journey.

And I love the tools of writing: the pens, the ink and the papers.

I would like to communicate a love of letters and introduce the beautiful, flexible and satisfying art of calligraphy. There are many applications of calligraphy; I have discovered some; you may discover some more. My posts this week will be focusing on the art of calligraphy.
